Pokemon Go Surprise Collaboration
Although it had experienced ups and downs after its first viral release, Pokemon GO still maintains its status as one of the best AR games on the market.
Many developers are trying to release AR games with their own unique approach, but the position of Pokemon GO is still very difficult to shift, especially with the continuous supports from communities and fans from around the world.
Another factor that made this game still solid in the market was also from the support of the Niantic developer in offering a myriad of interesting contents, one of it is the surprising collaboration event between the game and One Piece which will begin shortly.
Pokemon Go Surprise Collaboration with One Piece?
This event was announced some time ago, where the developer wanted to celebrate Pokemon GO’s 3rd anniversary celebration and the 22nd for the One Piece series itself.
The collaboration event also aims to support the Kumamoto area development campaign which was hit by a major earthquake in 2016.
Eiichiro Oda as the creator of One Piece also participated in this campaign, namely by giving donations in the form of statues of Straw Hat pirates to be installed in the area around Kumamoto.
These statues will later be used as PokeStop when the collaboration event begins. In addition, the in-game content offered by this collaboration is an exclusive Pikachu wearing a straw hat and cool costumes for the in game avatar.
For those of you who can’t wait, the collaboration event between Pokemon GO and One Piece will be held in Japan from July 22 to 29. You can check out the details about the event itself on the official website.
Time to go outside and catch ’em all!
