Tencent will soon end the season 4 of the popular battle royale game, Player Unknown’s Battlegrounds (PUBG) in a few days. To amplify the hype, they have revealed updates that will greet the players of this game in season 5 later.
PUBG Season 5 New Mechanisms!
Based on the patch notes released on the official PUBG website, there are a number of the brand new game mechanisms that will greet Fortnite’s players.
In PUBG Season 5, the players can feel the thrill of throwing ranged weapons or various items, both to the opponent and to a teammate. Players can also choose to throw a number of melee weapons, such as knives, crowbars, even the frying pan, with a maximum radius of up to 40 meters.
The level of damage that can be generated from this thrown weapon also varies depending on the distance, the closer the distance between players, the greater the damage will be. Meanwhile, specifically for teammates, players can throw a variety of supportive items, such as painkillers or energy drinks, along with ammunition for weapons with a maximum radius of 15 meters.
Instead of being thrown directly like throwing a weapon, a teammate must ask in advance what items they want from other teammates. In addition to the ability to throw items, the 5th season will also be filled with vending machines. In this machine, like the real-life counterpart, players can buy several items such as painkillers or energy drinks. It should be noted that this machine will only be available on the Miramar map and Camp Jackal training mode map.
For the Miramar map, the areas that will have vending machines are the Arena, Casino, a number of gas stations, motels and other public buildings, as summarized by KompasTekno from SlashGear, Thursday (10/17/2019).
As for the Camp Jackal map, the machine will be available in various warehouses and gas stations scattered around the map. Currently, the new PUBG season 5 is rolled out on the “Test Server” on the PC, PS4, and Xbox versions of PUBG.
For the PC version of PUBG, the 5th season will begin on October 23, followed by the Xbox and PS4 console versions of PUBG on October 29.
