Easy Tips to Hide Photos on iPhone – There is no smartphone user who likes the photos on their device to be snooped at. Unsurprisingly, a number of users takes additional steps to protect their gallery privacy on their mobile phones.

Actually, hiding photos on your device from hackers or also nosy people is not so difficult. There are many ways a user can choose to protect their photos, ranging from downloading additional apps to just tweaking your phone.

Use the Settings on Photos App

Photos App is available on every iPhone pre-loaded to help you save photos. Besides being useful, the Photos App also have its own way to mark photos as private. To hide photos on an iPhone using the Photos App, follow these steps:

  • Open the Photos App
  • Find the photo you want to hide.
  • Tap a photo (you can also select multiple photos by tapping Select).
  • Tap the action box.
  • Swipe from the bottom up and tap the Hide option.
  • Next, tap Hide Photos and after that the photo will disappear, it will be sorted at the “Hidden” album, but hidden from moments, collection and years.

How to Unhide the Photos

Follow the steps below to unhide photos or to make hidden photos visible again.

  • Launch Photos app on your iPhone
  • Go to Albums and tap on the Hidden Folder (See image below)
  • Tap on the Select button located at the top right corner of your iPhone
  • Select the Photos by tapping on each photo that you want to unhide.
  • Hit the share icon at the bottom left corner of your screen
  • Tap on Unhide

Use the Notes App

Like Photos, Notes App also comes pre-installed on the iPhone. Well, here’s how to save photos discreetly using the Note App.

  • Open Photos and find the photo you want to hide.
  • Tap the action box.
  • Tap Add to Notes
  • On the pop-up window, you can add text to the notes you want. Next, tap Save.
  • Then go to the Notes application.
  • Tap the notes containing the photo you entered earlier.
  • Tap the action box.
  • Next, tap Lock Note and if prompted, add a password. If you use Touch ID or Face ID, you can lock notes using that.
  • Tap the lock icon located on the top right until it appears locked. The picture will be replaced by the message ‘This is locked.’ Notes and photos can now only be opened by someone with your password.
  • Return to the Photos application and delete photos.
