Japan makes a big investment in Gojek
The venture capital company supported by the Cool Japan Fund will inject funds of around USD 50 million or equivalent to Rp 708 billion into Gojek.
This investment aims to have the Gojek, GoPlay streaming service, display specific content, such as promoting anime and culinary.
Quoting the Nikkei page, Thursday (10/17/2019), this investment fund will also help their restaurants in Indonesia set up shop at the GoFood Festival location.
The new investment to Gojek is the largest in Southeast Asia, aimed at driving overseas demand for their products and services.
For information, the venture capital company is under the representative’s Ministry of Economy, Trade, and Industry.
