Microsoft has made a lot of progress in the browser software by launching Edge bundled with Windows 10. Microsoft Edge is proven to be faster than the Internet Explorer, however no one probably predicted it to be faster than Google Chrome itself. Running through a series of performance tests Microsoft Edge has proven to be up to 37 percent faster than Google Chrome, however the cause of this may be the recent largely functioning extensions that Chrome has to put up with.
In the near future, Microsoft will expand its availability to macOS.
Microsoft Edge Expanding to Diversify its Consumer
In addition to various updates regarding productivity concepts, Microsoft seems to be planning to expand its Edge user base. In its latest blog, Microsoft confirms that it will bring Edge to MacOS computers in the near future.
“If you’re not on Windows 10, don’t worry―we’re looking forward to sharing builds for macOS and previous versions of Windows soon.” said Microsoft in its blog.
Unfortunately, Microsoft did not mention when the Edge browser will be released for MacOS. But, the presence of Edge on Apple computers can be an alternative for those who don’t like Safari and Chrome.
Launching Ubergizmo on Thursday (05/09/2019), currently, Edge browser is available on other Apple platforms, such as iOS. In the App Store app store, browser Edge can be downloaded for free.
Apart from that, Microsoft has made some major changes to its browser Edge, where the software company will switch to the Google Chromium platform.
Switching to Chromiun Google is believed to solve some compatibility issues and make the user experience more fluid and pratical. But apparently not everyone is happy with the steps taken by Microsoft.
