Bully 2 is definitely the one you hear the most out of many games that have been rumored to have a sequel over the past few years. Rumors about the sequel to one of Rockstar’s most popular games have spread widely since 2009 through confirmation from Shawn Lee whom worked as a composer for Rockstar, the game developer.
Lee confirmed that he had been appointed to make a soundtrack in Bully 2. Altough unfortunately, this project was still in planning phase which has still yet to be realized.
All of the rumors about Bully 2 that have been shared so far are not conclusive, but the YouTuber and the best informant in the Bully community named SWEGTA recently shared a reassuring information.
Recently, he got information from a Rockstar insider who revealed that Rockstar will release a new game in holiday season towards the end of 2020. Rockstar plans to release this game for cross-generation consoles like GTA V, which was previously released for the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and also PlayStation 4, Xbox One.
The information is quite convincing, considering that Sony and Xbox have prepared their latest generation console which will be launched next year.
Although it has not been announced yet, SWEGTA believes that the game in progress is Bully 2. This prediction is not only supported by the many rumors that have spread lately from various sources, but also confirmation from a former Rockstar insider named Yan2295 who has confirmed that Bully 2 is a game that will be released after Red Dead Redemption 2.
SWEGTA themselves has a very high reputation among the Bully community and has been watching the development of Rockstar since 2011. So any information that’s shared has some credibility to it.
If Bully 2 is confirmed to be released next year, then why hasn’t Rockstar announced the game until now?
There are several reasons that KotGa Crew can predict.
The first is because Bully 2 is a “smaller” project and does not take up large amounts of development or staff development, so they can develop the game in private before they are ready to announce it when the development process is in its final stages.
Another reason is because the Bully franchise already has a fairly popular reputation, so they want to use the time available now to promote the latest Casino DLC content for GTA Online. If Bully 2 is announced right now, the focus of the campaign and their promotion will be completely diverted from GTA Online.
Of course all this is still limited to rumors that might be different from expectations, but only time will tell if Rockstar will announce the game this year.
