Your Turn To Die -Death Game By Majority- (Kimi ga Shine/キミガシネ) is a freeware negotiation/horror/adventure game by Nankidai and translated by Vgperson. Whilst the game had several mini games, the main genre of the game is visual novel, a game where the player peruse the story at their own pace and choose certain choices to influence the ending of the story.
What’s “Your Turn to Die” About?
Sara Chidouin returns home from school late one night to discover that something’s gone terribly wrong.game description from vgperson
When she comes to, she finds herself, her friend Joe, and 9 other people trapped in a mysterious place.
Placed in life-and-death situations, they must come to an agreement about what they should do – and who should die.
Sara Chidouin is a 17 year old high schooler in her second year. Charismatic and strong willed, she tried her best to make sense of her predicament after she and her best friend, Joe Tazuna, were abducted and forced to participate in a deadly game, the “death game”.
After surviving the first trial, Sara and Joe came to meet a (literally and figuratively) colorful cast of characters where they tried to cooperate to make heads or tails of their current whereabouts, and how to escape from there.
Unfortunately, even after meticulous investigations the truth became clear that they could not simply seek an exit, as they’re trapped in a locked down facility, where only the winner of the main game are given the opportunity to escape. Deadly games are not the only danger lurking about, as participants are at the mercy of their deadly collars and the choice to betray or trust someone is as indiscernible as it gets.
The game itself has multiple endings, narrative-driven, adventure-horror game, much like the Danganronpa or 999 -Zero Escape- series. In “Your Turn to Die”, after the investigation and social phase, the characters are forced to participate in the “main game”, a deadly version of a game similar to Werewolf with an added twist.
Players are all taken to the main game hall and decides the fate of each other by refuting or agreeing to the logic of each character. The players must find and kill the “Sacrifice”, or everyone else will be executed gruesomely.

The Verdict for “Your Turn to Die”
Whilst the game start off kind of slowly, but the payoff after the main game and at the escalating emotional conflict at the end of chapter two really shows the brilliant story and the heavy weight of choices, where lives are placed in your hands. The interactions between the characters really shine through and made the characters easily likeable, yes, even the certain “anti-hero” that you still want to throw out the window at least once.
If you’re a fan of mystery literature, or thriller movies, this game is perfect for you. Despite the horror tag, this game does not contain any jumpscare, but be advised that this game has an ample amount of deaths, some swearing and elements of body horror. This game is recommended for ages 15-17+.
