Facebook has launched an initiative called Instant Games
In 2016, There are some successes achieved when Instant Games is integrated into Messenger.
Thanks to the integration with Messenger, games allow users to start matches with other people in your group chat. However, in an effort to make Messenger easier, Facebook will move the Instant Game to a new home.
Earlier this year, Facebook announced the Gaming Tab, which aims to simplify discovery and play games on the platform. Well, Facebook plans to immediately move Messenger’s Instant Game to the Gaming Tab.
“Migration of our gameplay session will occur in several stages. Starting at the end of this summer, Instant Games will no longer be able to be played on the new version of Messenger iOS,” Facebook said as quoted from Sunday (07/28/2019).
To ensure the transition went smoothly, Facebook said, players on Messenger will continue to access the game through thread updates and chatbots. While the gameplay will switch to Facebook.
Attempts to open Instant Game via Facebook seem to face pros and cons. Therefore, during the transition, Facebook will collect feedback from the community.
In addition, Facebook will also try to maintain the health of the game by the way the players remain in the loop step by step instructions. Whether Facebook’s new efforts will impact the decline in the number of players so far remains to be seen.
