Since the first debut in the NES classic console era, Mega Man has always placed its position as one of the best platform games of its time. Addictive gameplay, challenging level design to the solid puzzle elements are parts of the appeal that makes this franchise popular even until now.
Capcom had given full support to the Mega Man franchise by releasing many games which were also divided into sub-series X.
They did give a teaser that the X series might be resumed if Mega-Man 11 can achieve the expected sales target, but who would have thought if they realized it in the form of a mobile game called Mega Man X DiVE (Rock Man X DiVE for Japan).
Capcom has finally acknowledged the X series achievement which further strengthens the notion that they will develop their latest sequel in the future.
Mega Man X DiVE Overview
“Deep Log.” The digital world where the Mega Man X series games were stored. Also the memory of “You” as a player….
The “Deep Log” appears to be abnormal for unknown reasons. All stages, Mavericks, and all the characters from the Mega Man X series are mixed up because of game errors.
Come, players! Get into the Deep Log, defeat the Mavericks, and get the game data repaired.game overview, via Gematsu
For the mobile game, Mega Man X DiVE still uses the classic platformer gameplay that doesn’t differ much from its predecessor series. The quality of the graphics is also quite solid, and the only biggest difference may only lie in its status as a smaller mobile game and not a direct continuation to the X8.
Mega Man X DiVE itself is still in the initial development stage for Android and iOS devices. Further information about the game may soon be shared in the near future on its official website.
