The latest update for Pokemon Go has arrived. Updates make Team Rocket grunts appear in Pokestops for battle trainers.
Team Rocket grunts will fight with players at Pokestop,
just like against the other team leaders. If you win, they will run away and leave their Shadow Pokemon.
From there, you can catch Pokemon with Premiers Balls as you would in an attack. Shadow Pokemon is cleaned on the information screen using candy and powder.
Launching Polygon on Tuesday (07/23/2019), the button to clear Pokemon Shadow is right above the power-up button. Shadow Pokemon has a dark aura around them. Their CP is greatly reduced during shadowing.
Shadow Pokemon also learns Return, normal type attacks when cleaned. Some players report now that cleaned Pokemon also seem to need less candy to evolve and powder to power up.
The mechanics for Shadow Pokemon seem to be inspired by Pokemon Colosseum and Pokemon XD: Gale of Darkness for the GameCube. Both of these games focus on bringing Shadow Pokemon from trainers who accept them.
In the game, you will go through Pokemon battles or use special rooms. In addition to Team Rocket and Shadow Pokemon, updates are alleged to bring many other changes.
