Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment and IO Interactive collaboration
They will develop new games. Related to that, the two studios are known to have signed the latest agreement.
This company and IO Interactive, known as the Hitman franchise, have signed publishing and distribution agreements worldwide to launch new games on the console and PC platforms.
“We are very pleased to continue our relationship with the talented team at IO Interactive,” said Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment president David Haddad was quoted as saying by The Hollywood Reporter on Saturday (10/12/2019).
Previously they had collaborated with IO Interactive. Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment published a new entry for Danish studies in the Hitman series in 2018, Hitman 2, and the anthology of the Hitman HD Advanced Collection this year.
“IO Interactive has a long-standing heritage of creating iconic games, and we look forward to partnering in the next effort to bring new consoles and PC game experiences to players globally,” he said.
Two Scandinavian studios IO Interactive, IOI Copenhagen in Denmark, and IOI Malmo in Sweden will develop new titles. Unfortunately, there are no details about the upcoming game.
“When we started this exciting project to create a new universe for IOI along with Warner Bros., we are currently looking for ambitious talent to join our team in the Copenhagen and Malmo studios,” said IO Interactive CEO Hakan Abrak.
This new agreement signifies Warner company continues and supports the gaming industry. Meanwhile, other Hollywood studios such as FoxNext Studios, which was acquired as part of the 20th Century Fox agreement this year and NBCUniversal closed the game publishing division in September.
