Apple reportedly started the production of its latest Mac Pro computers in China.
This step shows changes from the Apple devices made in the US, now being produced in the China factory.
As reported by Sputniknews, Saturday (06/29/2019). Even though at this time there was a t rade war between the US and China, but it did not dampen Apple’s move. This giant tech has reportedly signed a contract with Quanta Computer Inc. to produce desktop computers with the cost of USD6,000.
The company is also rumored to be increasing production at a factory near Shanghai. People who familiar with that matter told to The Wall Street Journal.
As is known, Mac Pro is a special device for the professional community. The previous models, released in 2013, were built entirely in the US. At that time Apple Chief Executive, Tim Cook, planned to build it domestically.
Apple invested $100 million in the other tools and supplies for the factory in Austin, Texas. The factory is run by the contract maker, Flex Ltd. Every computer is labeled as “Assembled in the US.”
An Apple spokesman told Fox News that the new Mac Pro was designed and engineered in the US and included the US-made part. Apple said it can supports production in 30 US states and spent USD 60 billion last year with more than 9,000 US suppliers.
