As a Xiaomi sub-brand, Pocophone released a new series last year. Even the Poco F1 is predicted to be a flagship series phone at a low price.
After releasing F1, reportedly, Pocophone will release a series of their sequels namely the Pocophone F2 in August.
Yet, at the same time, news spread that the Pocophone would stop the production of its smartphone. That is, the Pocophone may not be produced anymore.
This claim is not without reason. Because reported by the Android Authority, the emergence of the news Pocophone will not be produced again raised after Jai Mani resigned from his position at the Xiaomi. He is known as the head of the Poco products. Mani entered the Xiaomi India since 2014 and began his responsibility as the head of Pocophone products in 2018.
While Manu Jain, Xiaomi’s Indian Head and International Vice President said, the fate of the Pocophone line is still unclear.
However, a different response was given by the Xiaomi’s vice. When they were questioned via e-mail, they said, for now, Poco had no change even though there was one chief who resigned and the work was still as stated to the plan.
If examined a few months back, at the beginning of the launch of Poco F1, this smartphone had indeed made a lot of news. This is due to a buyer who transacted directly at the Erafone’s physical store, said that the camera of the Poco F1 was said to be problematic.
But, when visited by Selular.ID at that time, a promoter agreed if there was a problem with the F1 camera, but the details were very much mixed.
Please note, the Poco F1 brought a double camera with AI power behind. Poco F1 only shows dual cameras with 12MP main camera composition (Sony IMX363) and a 5MP secondary camera that is only supported by EIS without OIS.
Even though, the OIS function is to keep the lens stable if there is a shock when aiming at an object photo. So, the resulting image can be sharp without a blur effect.
