It turns out there are some games that made by Indonesian developers and astonishingly well-known worldwide
As we already know, Indonesia Game Day (HARGAI) is held annually on August 8th. The goal is to provide a place for gamers in Indonesia to participate, support, and encourage the gaming industry in the country. In commemoration of the 2019 HARGAI, we will discuss five well-known games made by Indonesian developers.
5. Ghost Parade
This game, which was developed by Lentera Studio and published by Aksys Games, has become the most awaited both in Indonesia and abroad. Ghost Parade will introduce local Indonesian ghosts such as kuntilanak and pocong.
Ghost Parade will be released in November 2019 on PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, and PC via Steam. For now, you can ask for pre-order through the Aksys Game official website.
4. Forged of Blood
This local game which has just released on PC Steam also become quite popular because of its unique and interesting gameplay. Some interesting things from this strategy game are that you can make your own troops and its complex battle system.
Forged of Blood is perfect for those who like complicated games that require hard thinking to finish.
3. Just Desert
Japan is not the only one with interesting Visual Novel which provides good stories and interesting illustrations. We have one from Indonesia! The game developed by Vifth Floor presents cool visuals, stories, and soundtracks. Just Deserts combines the dating simulators and war against aliens which makes it looks attractive and anti-mainstream.
Not just in Indonesia, Just Deserts is also selling well in the international market and getting some positive responses from the players.
2. Pamali: Indonesian Folklore Horror
Furthermore, there is a horror game called Pamali. As the name implies, Pamali has a frightening element of folklore from Indonesia. As we already know, ghosts from Indonesia are incredibly scary, that foreign YouTubers are legit scared when playing Pamali.
In this game, you will play as Jaka who experiences many strange events while cleaning his house. You will meet a lot of ghosts from Indonesia such as kuntilanak and pocong around the house. Dare to play?
Before Pamali, there was another popular horror game made by an Indonesian developer named DreadOut. Because of its popularity, DreadOut was played several times by PewDiePie, a well-known YouTuber, especially to foreign gamers.
After the success of the first version, Digital Happiness, the developer of DreadOut, will continue this series with DreadOut 2.
