Apple Cancel this Feature.
Apple Watch has a Walkie-Talkie feature that allows users to talk to one another through a watch. Apple apparently plans to expand the features to the iPhone.
Apple has worked on a similar feature for the iPhone. As in Watch, the feature allows iPhone users to communicate with each other without cellular coverage.
Quoted from Ubergizmo, Wednesday (29/08/2029), said to have been because, according to The Information report, Apple has canceled plans for the Walkie-Talkie feature on the iPhone.

Apple Canceled it for Other Chips.
According to reports, Apple is working with Intel for the Walkie-Talkie project. One reason the project was canceled was that Apple would return to using Qualcomm chips next year instead of Intel.
In addition, another reason that might make the Walkie-Talkie project stop is the departure of leader Ruben Caballero earlier this year, as quoted by Phone Arena.
For your information, Apple’s Walkie-Talkie-like feature has been created by a company called goTenna which sells Mesh accessories for around 179 US dollars.
The device is paired with a smartphone using Bluetooth and the application creates a mobile mesh network that can connect to other users to send private or group messages.
