After so much complain from gamers, Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night bugs are fixed!
Koji Igarashi’s game titled Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night recently took the spotlight among the side-scrolling action game lovers, mostly because of the 19th-century horror shades on it. This game carries the genre of Metroidvania, a subgenre of action-adventure formed by 2 legendary series, Metroid and Castlevania. This game was released on June 18th, 2019 on PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One. This game has indeed become one of the best games released in 2019 if, and only if, you play it on PC, PS4, or Xbox One.
A week after its initial release, the 505 Games as the Publisher, released Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night for the Nintendo Switch port. Then, this game has begun to show its shortcomings. Previously, the latest games usually have some bugs that upset gamers, such as sudden crashes, poor quality, or even not being able to run at all. However, this awaited game started its debut with a very bad impression. Gamers started to protest in forums. ID MutedSize even posted his opinion on Reddit because this problem has not been resolved yet.
These bugs start from a never-ending loading screen, poor quality graphic for Nintendo Switch level, and sudden crash on certain scenes. The worst of all was the extremely poor visual quality, from its texture, character details, and broken brightness level that ruin the texture.
Like cited in the 505 Games official site, they overhauled almost the entire project to fix its quality for the Switch port. They call it “room-by-room, enemy-by-enemy” update, and this takes a lot of time. Some update they working on are:
- Visual Fidelity – The way that backgrounds and environments are rendered is being significantly updated. This will result in noticeably sharper environments in most areas throughout the game.
- Loading Times – Load times between scenes are being greatly improved, but are still not where we would like them to be, so work remains.
- Particle Effects – We have already replaced hundreds of particle effects with new assets and more yet remain. The new ones look the same to the user but are much less impactful on the performance of the game. This has been one of the main culprits for framerate drops during sights.
- Input Lag – Input lag times have been signi?cantly reduced, once work on this is completed the game should feel much more reactive when playing.
These massive updates will be released at the end of November. Stay tuned for more information about Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night with us!
