One of these Capcom dreams, of course, including Dino Crisis
Trying not to get too far from the standard has become an effective formula for Capcom in marketing their games. Reflecting on their success in releasing Resident Evil 2 Remake, Devil May Cry V, and Monster Hunter World Iceborne’s expansion, this Japanese publisher can achieve a special place in front of veteran gamers from the glorious era of the PS1 and PS2.
With all the negative reaction on their Project Resistance, they seem to get an inspiration about games they should develop in the future. Based on Capcom’s fiscal report that was recently revealed, they finally made a commitment to revive their old and rarely heard IP.
Capcom has a lot of IP in their sleeves, both famous or not. Starting from barely known Dino Crisis and Darkstalkers, to some well-known franchises in their respective era like Onimusha, Okami, Viewtiful Joe, Rival Schools, Final Fight, Ghosts’ n Goblins, Sengoku Basara, Breath of Fire, Chaos Legion, and God Hand. Of course, this policy will bring joy to their fans.
Besides having an agenda to revive their old franchises, Capcom also wants to focus on digital game sales, along with restructuring their methods in game development so that the results will be better.
