Gigabyte new laptop range
Gigabyte announces new laptops at Computex 2019. This time the Aero series is getting updates from the specifications and design aspects.
So far the Aero family has been known as a laptop that offers gaming opportunities as well as professional consumers of content creators. The clump also does not want to be left behind in the process of instilling popular technology.
The popular technology is the adoption of OLED panels on the screen on the Aero 15, not forgetting the 3mm bezel that has become a trademark. Gigabyte revealed that the Aero 15 embed the AMOLED panel from Samsung, which is capable of displaying 4K resolution.
This screen panel is suitable for content creators or designers, because OLED can produce sharper colors.
Gigabyte Laptop Specifications
Technically, the OLED screen on Aero 15 supports DisplayHDR 400 and 100% DCI-P3 gamut. Gigabyte also does not forget to emphasise that this laptop is Pantone X-Rite certified. For consumers who are very focused on gaming, Gigabyte also provides a variant of the LCD screen with Full HD resolution and 240Hz refresh rate.
This version also embeds the NVIDIA RTX 2070 Max-Q as the highest choice of graphics cards, with a choice of the same processor with the OLED screen version.
Furthermore, the Aero 15 has adopted the 9th generation Intel processor, with a choice of series up to the Core i9-9980HK. The processor is coupled with the highest NVIDIA RTX 2080 Max-Q graphics card, 16GB 2666MHz RAM, and M.2 SSD storage.
One of the challenges in thin laptops is ensuring adequate air circulation, in order to reduce heat in components that have high specifications.
The Aero 15 is claimed to provide an adequate cooling system, consisting of two fans, five heat pipes, and 11 air lines, which are considered not too noisy when the components work hard.
Aero 15 provides an SD card UHS-II slot, as a container for large data transfers. This is claimed to be suitable for editing videos, with data transfer speeds reaching 30MB per second. This speed is three times higher than UHS-I.
The next interface available on Aero 15 is WiFi 6, Bluetooth 5.0, and RJ-45 LAN connectivity. There are also three USB 3.1 ports, two USB-C ports, one Thunderbolt 3, one DisplayPort port, a 3.5mm audio jack, and an HDMI 2.0 port.
Azure AI is the next feature. Gigabyte collaborates with Microsoft in implementing artificial intelligence through the cloud. Azure AI can learn usage patterns and set the CPU and GPU to get the best use scenario.
Gigabyte claims Azure AI makes Adobe Premier applications run 20 to 40 percent faster.
Gigabyte Aero 15 will go on sale from the price of USD1,900, depending on specifications and screen panel options. They have a target to bring this laptop to the global market in June.
