iPhone with USB-C: In The Making!
Apple is slowly starting to make the transition to USB-C on all of its devices. Even the latest iPhone will most likely come with USB-C port support.
Citing Ubergizmo on Monday (8/26/2019), Apple has brought USB-C support to tablets such as the iPad Pro 2018. After iPad, Apple seems to be targeting the iPhone as a device that uses USB-C port.
When will iPhone with USB-C be Available?
This year’s rumored iPhone with USB-C was revealed through a tweet by ChargerLab. However, reports say that only the chargers use USB-C port.
iPhone is estimated to still use the Lightning port. Apple will most likely combine the cable ports, with USB-C jack on its charger to Lightning jack on the device, thus allowing iPhone users to connect their devices to the MacBook without the need for dongles or adapters.
In addition, there is also rumors that states Apple might fully changes all of its cable from Lightning to USB-C. If this news is true, Apple manufacturers will not seem to find too much trouble on the transition, as Apple has previously made the transition from Lightning to USB for iPad.
Although, even if iPhone with USB-C on both sides of the jacks are planned, Apple will most likely not do it this year.
