Two top executives at Xiaomi, Donovan Sung and Jai Mani, left the company and move to Google. Both of them hold important roles in the Chinese company.
Launching Gizmo China on Saturday (7/20/2019), Donovan Sung, Global Spokesman and Director of Product Management Xiaomi delivered their satisfaction via Twitter. Through his tweet, Donovan said this would be his last month at Xiaomi.
Two top executives at Xiaomi move to Google
Through a Twitter thread, Donovan also confirmed, he would move to Google in Singapore to help progress their Google Pay system in emerging markets. Donovan himself has joined Xiaomi for five years and has been part of a team that helped expand into new countries.
In addition to Donovan, Jai Mani, who used to be the Product Manager of Pocophone, also decided to leave this Chinese technology company. Unlike Donovan, Jai did not give any announcement regarding his departure.
But, the bio of his Twitter is now written he is an ex-Product Manager of Pocophone and Xiaomi India. According to Android Central, Jai Mani joined Xiaomi five years ago.
He was recruited by Huga Barra who was once VP of Xiaomi. Part of Jai’s achievement is the F1 Pocophone. He played a key role in the development of the telephone which was released in 2018.
So far there is information about the successor of Pocophone F1 and also the successor of product manager. So, just wait for the next announcement from Xiaomi.
