Tencent claimed that they have 100 million active users per month in-game Player’s Unknown Battleground Mobile (PUBG Mobile). They also claimed that their second-largest players are from Indonesia.
“Nowadays PUBG Mobile has 100 million active users per month around the world,” stated Oliver Ye, South East Asia PUBG Mobile Marketing Director, in one of the occasions held in Jakarta, Friday (2019/05/24). “Indonesia becomes the second country with the largest amount of monthly users,” claimed Ye. Even so, he did not specifically mention the exact amount of Indonesian monthly users. He just stated that Indonesia is an important and large market for this game.
By holding tournaments and providing local content to attract interest from Indonesia gamers, that is a large market from PUBG Mobile; their side keeps on holding a regular tournament for players, both amateur and professional.
Involving Indonesia PUBG Mobile Police
Celebrating Ramadhan’s moment and its homecoming, Tencent also involving Indonesia Police to make a pop-up booth or game-themed homecoming booth. Those booths will be opened in the various areas that lots of homecomings passing by. “We are so happy that in short time we will cooperate with Indonesia police to provide homecoming booth.”
Not only that, homecomings can play PUBG Mobile in devices provided in the booth. It is remaining unknown which area will be the exact location of this Homecoming booth. Tencent just stated that this homecoming booth would only be available in four homecoming lines in Java in a short time. Let us just wait and see the presence.
