Rainbow Tournament Cup: Summarecon Mall Serpong
Hundreds of lovers of the Pokemon Go game from Niantic gathered at Summarecon Mall Serpong, Tangerang, on Saturday to participate in the tournament player versus player (PVP) with the Rainbow Cup theme.
As quoted from Antaranews, the players sat face to face and intensely touching the screen with their fingers without stopping. Some of them wear Pokemon costumes or attributes, some also put Pokemon dolls on the table to brighten up the mood.

In the Rainbow Tournament Cup, Pokemon Go players must prepare a team of six grass types, fire, insect, electric and water according to the theme each month.
Vivi Aryani, the head of the Pokemon Go and Club 40 Indonesia community said that the tournament could be joined by all players in Indonesia from all levels.
“You could say this is the biggest in the world. Based on the data, there were 449 participants yesterday,” Vivi said at a press conference in Jakarta on Saturday, adding that similar tournaments elsewhere had not been followed by so many participants.
The tournament which was followed by Pokemon Go communities throughout Indonesia was enlivened by players from various regions, including West Java, Central Java to Medan city in Sumatra.
The match was also attended by the number one Pokemon Go player in the world who excelled in XP scores, namely Brandon Tan from Singapore.
Vivi hopes that organizing the tournament will make the game Pokemon Go more developed in Indonesia. She also hoped that Niantic, the developer of Pokemon Go, glancing at the game’s potential so that it will hold large international events such as Go Fest in Japan and the US.
Meanwhile, the new PVP feature is present in Pokemon Go since December 2018 which accommodates the competitive spirit of the game players.
