Redmi is working on a cellphone with its first 5G connectivity, the Redmi K30. This was revealed by Lu Weibing, general manager of the company at the presentation of the launch of Redmi 8 in China.
Besides being supported by 5G connectivity, the phone comes with a punch display which will be the first from Xiaomi, as reported by GSMArena.
Lu Weibing has revealed on his Weibo’s profile that his new device will likely have a similar appearance to the Samsung Galaxy S10 + by using a dual front camera in the upper right-hand corner.
Redmi K30: The Specifications
Redmi K30 will come with dual 5G connectivity support, which means it will work with SA (Standalone mode) and NSA (non-standalone) networking. This will allow better connectivity on this phone.
Reportedly, it will be powered by a Qualcomm 7250 chipset that supports 5G dual-mode.
Weibing said that the price of the Redmi K30 would not be the cheapest 5G phone, but it would still adjust the cost-effective prices that are usually carried by the Redmi brand.
