Samsung has not yet started selling its hyped Galaxy Fold. Although, the electronics giant from South Korea is reportedly already planning to uncover the second generation of Galaxy Fold.
Samsung Secretly Working on an Exciting Project! What are they?
Samsung reportedly plans to launch its second folding screen device early next year. There are indications that the luxury phone in the future can be folded into a compact-sized square and Samsung secretly working on it for long already.
According to people familiar with the product development, the device comes with a 6.7-inch screen that can turn into a box when folded in like a clamshell. The company is said to have plans to make the device affordable to the masses.
Quoting Gizmo China, Wednesday (04/09/2019), the second generation folding screen cellphone is thought to have a thinner shape compared to this year. Galaxy Fold opens to a more square aspect ratio and a bigger screen. Yet, there is no information about it yet, for Samsung secretly working on it.
Samsung is testing Ultra-Thin Glass (UTG) for the screen in the next folding smartphone, which is only three percent than the conventional glass that is conventionally used to protect the screen. At the same time, Samsung wants to ensure the durableness of this new folding screen device and avoid the mistakes similar to Galaxy Fold.
Samsung’s new folding screen phone will use a punch-hole design on the inner screen that functions for selfies. Sources also hinted using a similar design to the Galaxy Note 10.
On the outside, the phone will have a dual-camera setup facing back when the phone is opened and facing forward when closed. This step is an effort to make its products attractive to a wider range of consumers, including those who are more interested in fashion, status, and luxury than device technology.
Apart from that, one source suggests the launch of a second folding screen device is likely to depend on how well the Galaxy Fold’s performance after being released to the user.
