Signify introduces the presence of Philips Rechargeable LED Bulb. This device is claimed to provide backup light for up to 3 hours when the power goes out.
Through official information received by Okezone, the LED bulb with an integrated battery from Signify has a rechargeable capability. This technology is equipped with a detection circuit, which allows the bulb to distinguish between switches that are turned off and power outages.
“Lighting has become an important part of our lives. We are not accustomed to being in the dark at night,” said Rami Hajjar, Country Leader of Signify Indonesia. He said a sudden blackout that covers a large area and lasted quite a long time ago was a reminder for many people about how much people depend on electricity.
Signify: Philips Rechargeable LED
Philips Rechargeable LED functions as a normal bulb when the electricity is on. Charging the battery occurs when the bulb is turned on and will go into emergency mode when a power outage occurs. This emergency LED bulb uses 7 watts of power for 7,000 lumens, which is claimed to be brighter with lower energy consumption. The device is claimed to be safe from the risk of short circuits due to the introduction of dust, water or insects.
