The Multifunctional Sony MRW-S3
Sony introduced their latest “USB hub” device. It is not an ordinary USB hub, as the MRW-S3 is equipped with an SD / microSD card slot type UHS-II which is claimed to have the fastest file transfer speed in the world. The reading speed in the SD card slot on this USB hub can reach up to 300MB/s.
With this speed, professional workers who rely on SD cards can move photos or videos quickly from their camera to a computer via this USB hub.
In addition to the SD card and microSD slot, the USB hub is also equipped with the 2nd generation USB 3.1 port which is claimed to have file transfer speeds of up to 1000MB/s.
There is also an HDMI port that can produce 4K images with a 30 fps frame rate along with a USB-A port.
On the power side, the MRW-S3 USB hub has a Power Delivery feature of up to 100 watts. Users can use this USB hub to connect the monitor and support a variety of high-power devices that can be connected with a USB port.
In terms of durability, the latest USB hub from Sony has an IP68 water resistance level and has a sleek, scratch proof aluminum body.
When will the Sony MRW-S3 be available?
Although it has been announced, Sony has not explained how much the MRW-S3 will cost.
However, the MRW-S3 USB hub itself will be available at the end of this year, as summarized by KompasTekno from Ubergizmo on Monday (7/15/2019).
Along with the initial sale of the MRW-S3 USB hub, Sony will also sell a number of the latest SF-M Tough SD cards with 64 GB, 128 GB and 256 GB capacities separately.
