Until now, there is no data that shows how the performance of Sony Xperia 1 in terms of sales. As we know, Sony introduced the smartphone at the MWC 2019 event in Barcelona earlier this year. And now, Sony has prepared itself to release Xperia 2.
The Japanese tech giant would likely launch Xperia 2 at the IFA 2019 trade show in Berlin, Germany this week. Before the D-Day, several images and rendering of the smartphone were leaked on the internet, including photos of Xperia 1 released by Sony itself.
Previously, the rendering of the Sony Xperia 2 which was close to its true form has been published by WinFuture.de. Interestingly, some of the images shown have high resolution and are displayed from various angles, so we can see the overall design of the smartphone.
Xperia 2 Specifications
We know that the Sony Xperia 2 will have three cameras on the back. Reportedly, all embed cameras have 12 MP resolution and are manufactured by Sony. This device is also equipped with an ultra-wide-angle lens and 2x optical zoom.
The leaked rendering also shows that Sony’s smartphone will be equipped with a fingerprint sensor mounted on the side. In addition, we can also see a special camera button, bezel that is still thick at the top and bottom and speaker holes adjacent to the USB Type-C port.
Other leaks claim that the upcoming Xperia model might not be referred to as the Xperia 2, but could adopt the name Xperia 1 Compact. This device is expected to come with a smaller 6.1-inch AMOLED screen with Full HD+ resolution and has a 2:9 aspect ratio.
Other speculation says this new Sony smartphone will come with a Snapdragon 855 chipset made by Qualcomm. Other support is 6 GB of RAM and 128 GB of internal storage. This smartphone will also be equipped with HDR screen support.
