Voice assistants can be easily found on the market today. Each of these assistants has strengths and weaknesses, but they do the work people need.
So far the voice assistants are commonly used for playing music, checking the weather, managing timers, creating shopping lists, and other ordinary tasks.
Nevertheless, Microsoft wants to do a different study related to the topic of this voice assistant. Compared to seeing accuracy, Microsoft wants to see how many people use those assistants and how they use them.
Who is the most used Voice Assistants?
Surprisingly, Microsoft found that both Siri and Google Assistant were used by the same responsive part (36 percent), and that was probably due to the prevalence of iOS and Android phones not as much as home smart speakers.
Behind Siri and Google Assistant, there is Alexa which is an Amazon development. Alexa is the third most used voice assistant with 25 percent.
Furthermore, there is Cortana which is the fourth most used with 19 percent correspondents. While Bixby, if included it might have been part of 1 percent of the other voice assistant categories.
In addition, the Microsoft study found that more users want to be able to take action with voice assistants, including getting directions, researching or comparing products, and carrying out shopping tasks.
Although the use of voice assistants increased, Microsoft found that 41 respondents had concerns about privacy, especially on devices that were always able to listen.
